Many camps begin around age 5, but some welcome children as young as 3 years old, and a few even start at 12 months! Camps designed for younger children often offer shorter hours. Be sure to check the camp details carefully, some programs are based on school grade levels rather than age.
Most summer camps begin around 9:00 a.m. and end between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., with some offering extended care options. Many programs provide both half-day and full-day schedules, though even "full-day" camps often conclude by 3:00 p.m. Be sure to review each camp's details before registering to confirm exact times.
Filtering by camp category can help you plan which weeks your children attend each program. For example, scheduling dance camp one week and zoo camp the next. Many camps feature different weekly themes, so reviewing their schedules can make it easier to mix and match experiences that fit your family's summer plans.
Please note that the registration dates listed are estimates, based on previous years' opening dates. If you know the confirmed registration date for a camp, we'd love your help keeping this resource accurate! Email updates to chair@sbpep.org. Registration Status doesn't work for Winter, Fall, and Spring Camps.
